Family Oriented Programing
Parents as Partners
Red Deer Public Schools (RDPSD) looks forward to welcoming you and your child as we learn and grow together!
Children can’t build strong brains by themselves! It is through caring school teams and families working together as partners that we foster your child’s learning and development.
RDPSD is committed to providing parent information sessions and interactive family oriented sessions for you and your child each month. These sessions provide opportunities for you and your child to learn, build positive interactions and foster healthy brain development for improved learning, physical and mental health, and behaviour both at home in the classroom.
In collaboration with our community partners RDPDS is able to offer sessions, FREE of charge. Registration is open to all families with priority given to families whose child is attending Pre-Kindergarten or Kindergarten and supported through an Individual Support Plan (ISP). A variety of sessions are being offered throughout the year. Your child’s teacher will provide recommendations for sessions that support your child’s unique interests and needs. Child care for siblings is the responsibility of families where child care is not provided.
