My name is Chelsea Ramsey and I am the Grade 2 Spanish teacher here at Escuela Pines. This is my second year teaching Grade 2 and I have definitely found a home here! I truly love Grade 2 and all the fun we have! I graduated from the University of Alberta in 2014 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, with a major in Spanish and a minor in English Language Arts. I previously taught English 9, 10-1, and 30-1 in Rimbey before coming to Escuela Pines.
I have been studying Spanish for over 10 years. I began studying at Hunting Hills High School in Grade 9. During my Grade 12 year, I participated in an international exchange program, where I went to live in Spain for two months. It was there that I truly fell in love with the Spanish language and culture. I have since been back to Spain twice, most recently this past summer for 3 weeks. I enjoy sharing my passion with my students!
In my spare time, I enjoy camping and spending time with my husband and family. We go camping at Gull Lake for most of the summer, and some of my favorite memories are out there. I also enjoy traveling, having spent time in Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, London, and California. I am looking forward to an amazing year in Grade 2!
